Join us for open, supportive conversations about death and end-of-life topics at our upcoming Death Café gatherings. Facilitated by Death Doula Leona Oceana, these events provide a welcoming space to explore important discussions while fostering community and reducing social isolation. Hosted in collaboration with York Public Library, the Center for Active Living, and potential future partners, these gatherings will take place on February 10th and February 26th at the York Public Library. Enjoy refreshments, including skull cakes, as we create a thoughtful and engaging dialogue. Future meetings may rotate locations every other month.

Brief history of the Community Supper

Prior to Covid, YCSA had been working with another organization to host a community supper that took place on Tuesday evenings at First Parish church in York. Once COVID-19 was becoming very prevalent in our area, the supper was shut down. In December 2022, we began the YCSA Community Supper. The supper is where community members can come and visit with neighbors and friends for a meal. The community supper takes place on the first and third Tuesday of every month at the First Parish Church in York Village. Each night, other community groups from throughout York work with us and help with hosting.

We hope you will join us!
