FAMILY SERVICES PROVIDES

Fuel Assistance

Emergency Funds: For rent, utilities, dental, medical, car repair.

Food and other necessary items from our Food Pantry

Clothing assistance

Camp Scholarships and other children learning activities
Persons who wish to apply for assistance may do so
by calling the Family Services office.
YCSA administers General Assistance to qualified families and individuals based on income
and residency in the town of York.
General Assistance includes:

Personal Care & Household Supplies

Fuel Assistance (September to May)
The General Assistance Director must
issue a written decision within 24 hours of
receiving an application.
Tax Relief Program
If you qualified for the Property Fairness Tax Credit on your Maine 1040 income tax return, you may be eligible for up to $450 back from the Town of York. If you didn’t file taxes because your income didn’t warrant it, you may still be eligible. This program runs until June 15th, 2023.
